Brazil Live Match

Brazil is the most successful national team in the FIFA World Cup, the main football international competition, being crowned winner five times: 1958, 1962, 1970, 1994 and 2002. Brazil also has the best overall performance in the World Cup, both in proportional and absolute terms, with a record of 70 victories in 104 matches played, 119 goal difference, 227 points, and 17 losses,Brazil is the only national team to have played in all World Cup editions without any absence nor need for playoffs,The seleção is likewise the most successful national team in the FIFA Confederations Cup with four titles: 1997, 2005, 2009 and 2013.

Brazil is the only national team to have won the World Cup on four different continents: once in Europe (1958 Sweden), once in South America (1962 Chile), twice in North America (1970 Mexico and 1994 United States) and once in Asia (2002 Korea/Japan).

Brazil vs Belgium Preview: Brazil had an easy group where without hitting top form they managed to make it out as group winners. They also defeated Mexico with rather ease in the first knockout stage game and now they face their first real test against Belgium on Friday. Its a huge game for Brazil who will be slightly favourites to make it to the semifinals. Tite don’t have any major injury worries apart from Casemiro suspension and he will be missed against Belgium.

Roberto Martinez won’t be happy with the performance of Belgium in first 60 minutes against Japan. They failed to click and conceded two goals but he was spot on with his changes in second half with Fellaini and Chadli turning things around for Belgium. They will need to take their game up a notch when they face Brazil otherwise they will get hammered by this very balanced Brazilian side.

Team News & Possible Lineups: Brazil coach Tite has big decisions to make with Marcelo still a doubt while Casemiro suspended for the quarterfinal tie. Filipe Luiz should slot in as left back while Renato Augusto will start in midfield to replace Casemiro. Apart from that we can expect same lineup with Jesus, Willian and Neymar starting in three man attack.

Belgium on the other hand have problems with the system Martinez have deployed with three at the back and a packed midfield. Carrasco is vulnerable as wing back and we can safely assume he won’t be starting at that position again. De Bruyne is also look underwhelming playing deeper than his usual position.

Match Predictions: Both Brazil and Belgium squads are as talented as each other, however Brazil come with that certain flair and pedigree which Belgium don’t have. However Belgium do have the players to match Brazil on every position, in some cases better. There are huge expectations from both of these teams and this match is coming a round earlier than it should have. I am leaning towards Brazil in this one purely because Martinez is somehow failing to get the best of De Bruyne. I am going with a entertaining 2-1 win for Brazil in this one.
